Stephanie creates vibrant, realistic nature art. Through her art, she strives to kindle a spark in the hearts of all who see it, awakening a deep sense of wonderment, and fostering a connection with the boundless beauty of nature.
Stephanie uses a variety of traditional and digital methods depending on the project needs.
Her work is inspired by her background in wildlife rehabilitation, experience with wild animals in zoos & aquariums and her love of plants.
Stephanie fine-tuned her artistic talent during her time earning a Master's Certificate from California State University Monterey Bay and her internship with National Geographic Magazine's Art Department in 2011. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona.
Since 2012, Stephanie has been actively involved in creating art including public art and participating in various group art shows. Her artwork has also been featured in various publications and labels, and she has won multiple awards, including the Popular Science and National Science Foundation Expert's Choice Award in the 2016 Vizzies: Visualization Challenge.
From 2020-2023, Stephanie focused on creating Nature Sketch Crate, which is a nature watercolor & ink class in a box designed for beginners. Through it, she aims to enrich people's lives through art, nature, and environmental responsibility.
Currently, Stephanie has expanded her focus to include creating public art and art for group shows while continuing to teach beginner watercolor & ink classes through Nature Sketch Crate.
